I compete in autocross and am changing tire pressures quite frequently. I have a couple wired compressors and another battery powered one that's built into a heavy jump-start box. OMG this little powerhouse is going straight into the pit box. It reads about 1.5psi higher than my quality air gauge which is an acceptable amount of error and not hard to account for. Most people aren't going to notice a couple psi difference. I don't know for sure my gauge is absolutely accurate, but it is repeatable which is what I need. I bled off a few pounds from my tire. It took maybe 15-20 seconds to add those 3 pounds back.I don't like the screw connector that goes on the valve stem. I'm going to look for some kind of quick connect to retrofit. Don't get me wrong, the stock connector works and allows you to go hands free, but I'd like it to be a little handier, just a personal preference.
I like to have a pump in all of our cars in case of a slow leak so you don't have to wait for help or have to change the tire yourself. The pump works well, is easy to set the pressure, and comes with a built-in flashlight as well as the ability to serve as a power bank for your phone. After the filling was complete, there was only a 0.3 pound difference on the gauge (see photo), which could easily be attributed to a slight air leak when removing the hose from the tire. I also like and will only buy pumps with valve attachment screws as it is safer and works on all wheel types unlike the old clamps on the connector which may interfere with some wheels. It comes with adapters for sports balls (i.e. soccer balls), French bike valves, and beach balls.
Basically it was as expected, it wasn't incredibly fast but neither is pumping it by hand either at least this I can punch in what PSI I want it to target, and then when it reaches that, it cuts off. It takes a particularly long time to get to 50 psi from 45 PSI in my large truck tires so I just set it a little over the PSI because it takes a second for me to twist off the nozzle and disengage it from the stem. I'd say it took Maybe 3 minutes or so for that one inflation correction. I haven't run it to the maximum battery use yet but so far I generally keep things charge cycled so I always am ready.
Going out to try it now an old lady can’t be left me stranded on the highway bad thing is there’s no instructions on what these different tips are used for no instructions whatsoever actually! Well, it works extremely well. It takes a little while, but it gets it done. Thank you very much. I am very pleased. I gave her a thumbs up and it’s a good bang for the buck.
